We bought vegetarian bak kut teh packet a couple of days ago and my mum in law decided to make it for dinner earlier! Using 2 sachets from the packet, she added braised mushrooms, bean curd skin, braised peanuts, mock mutton mushroom, mock sausages and some tau pok. It became more of a stew instead of a soup but was still really yummy. It had a strong mushroom taste so we might omit that in the future and buy some youtiao (fried chinese dough) instead.
We also had 2 tasty greens to go with our stew. Another lovely home made dinner made with love.
