Vegan Big Breakfast Brunch- Onaka at ARC

We got news that Onaka was offering a $15 brunch special on streetdeal via one of our sweet reader Mindy a couple of weeks back and we bought 2 coupons. This afternoon, we headed down to try the dishes after making a reservation via the phone a couple of days ago.

We chose the following two smoothies to start our brunch. Both were really good but we both thought the Omega soy shake was much better! It was not too creamy and had a lovely banana after taste.
Gogi berries, mango, orange, pineapple
Wake-up smoothie, improves digestion, immunity and vision

Omega Soy Shake
Mango, banana, organic vanilla soymilk, cinnamon, chia seeds

The only main dish option was Veggie works consisting of Baked beans, eggplant bacon, smoked mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, tofu scramble, toasts (It was Dairy-free, Egg-Free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans). The scrambled tofu and the beans were great but the mushrooms were not as savory as we expected and the weirdest combination was eggplant bacon. It was quite soggy and had a slightly bitter after taste.

Lastly, we both had teas and I went with Evening tea while Hubby Ro got Chamomile tea. The offer was pretty affordable for the items we had but it was not super fantastic. We rather head back for their dinner menu as the quality of the food and taste was much better than the brunch menu. Hopefully they will add more vegan/vegetarian friendly brunch dishes in the future.
