Yesterday, we decided not to head to any vegetarian stalls in Town as it was Vesak day and most stalls would have been packed. Instead, we brought my mum in law to Sunny Choice Organic Cafe to try the hakka dishes we had before and she loved them. This time round, we ordered something different and I ordered a salad rainbow noodles $6.50. The portion was just right and had a mountain full of vegetables like lettuce, beetroot, carrot and sprinkled with goji berries, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds. The noodles were al dente and had a slightly vinegar after taste. The rice crispies were really crunchy and I loved the caramel sweet after taste after a few mouthfuls.
Hubby Ro ordered a Spaghetti with Tofu Nuggets $7.50 . He said it tasted like a genuine Bolognese sauce with chunks of tofu minced meat in them. Sadly, the tofu nuggets were a let down as it was not as crispy as he had expected. Although, he did comment that some parts of the tofu nuggets tasted slightly cheesy but was inconsistent. It was overall a very satisfying meal as usual but the service and speed the food is served should be faster.
