We were at KK hospital over the week visiting a dear friend of ours and we popped by Kopitiam for a quick lunch. It was a pleasant surprise to find a vegetarian stall and a “pick your own salad” stall as well. The popiah $2/per roll at the vegetarian stall was quite decent. The popiah skin was not too thick and the fillings were quite yummy without the usual garlicky favour. The salad stall concept is quite similar to the ones at Amoy Food Centre. At just $4.50, you could pick 5 ingredients and dressing of your choice. I had sunflower seeds, chickpeas, tofu, olives and corn with wasabi yuzu dressing. It was delightful and I cannot wait to google the recipe for this dressing!
