Indonesia Mock Ayam Goreng Mentega at Dharma Vegetarian Stall in Jakarta

While we were in Jakarta we managed to visit Dharma Vegetarian Restaurant through a recommendation by a lady on instagram. We cannot seem to find her link after (So sorry, do let me know who you are if you are reading this!) Ro’s aunt was secptical about us eating at any places that wasn’t restaurant standard as she heard many nasty episodes of food poisoning. Despite her warnings, we headed to the stall and ordered two dishes. On their website they have other outlets which were restaurants but we visited the nearest and it was located in a food court.

We had a set meal of rice 38,636 rupiahs ($4.80) with ayam goreng mentega which was mock chicken with green chillies and it was so spicy! We also had mock mushroom rending and it was really delicious. It tasted like chinese style cooking with an Indonesia twist.

The spaghetti Bolognese 28,181 rupiahs ($3.50) on the other hand does not taste too great and was too sweet for Hubby Ro’s liking.  We would definitely visit the restaurant again in the future and not this food court outlet. Somehow, the food did not looked as appetizing and thankfully we had no food poisoning or tummy ache issues after this meal.

At the basement of the shopping mall, we also indulged in Krispy Kreme (they are coming to Singapore soon!) We had an original glazed donut 6000 rupiahs ($0.75) and a mosque donut 7800 rupiahs ($0.94) with chocolate and banana filling which was way too sweet.
